Christie Zwahlen has extensive experience in the research, venture, and social impact sectors. In 2022, they became Co-Founder and Head of Ideas & Written Words at The Fossicker Group, a woman-owned research firm. From 2018-2019, they were Co-Founder, Voice & Activist-in-Residence at JukeStrat, a purpose-driven venture studio. During this time, they also served as Co-founder & Executive Vice President of Social Impact at Petal, LLC, where they were nominated for a prestigious Edison Award. From 2016-2018, they were Executive Manager at LevinThor, LLC. From 2016-2019, they were Director of Community Engagement and Service at Miami University, where they obtained a $750k endowment and secured $300k for the creation of the Community Service Leaders Fund. Christie was also Statewide Director of STEAM (STEM + Arts) at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where they wrote and received a $42,400 FIRST STEM Equity Community Innovation grant and a $20,000 grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts. From 2011-2016, they were Acting Director and Assistant Director of the Center for Civic Engagement at Binghamton University, where they planned and executed the largest-ever Community Opportunities Fair and oversaw the production of the University's first-ever University-wide publication on Civic Engagement. In 2010, they were Bridging the Digital Divide Project Coordinator at Binghamton University. In 2009, they were Service-Learning Coordinator at Thiel College and AmeriCorps VISTA.
Christie Zwahlen received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Cum Laude in English Language and Literature, General from Stony Brook University between 2003 and 2007. Christie then went on to receive their Master of Arts in English from Binghamton University between 2008 and 2009, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Asian and Asian American Studies from the same university.
