Rakshit Garg is a data science professional with experience in developing analytical solutions for energy and fraud detection. Currently working at JSW Energy Ltd since March 2024, Rakshit is focused on power forecasting capabilities for renewable energy assets to enhance plant efficiency and reduce DSM penalties. Previously, as an Associate Data Scientist at magicpin from December 2022 to February 2024, Rakshit developed a predictive model for chargeback fraud detection, leading to a substantial reduction in fraud cases and significant annual savings. Early career experiences include a data science internship in automating content creation, a business analytics internship at The Sparks Foundation that involved exploratory data analysis for retail profitability, and a research internship at the University of Copenhagen, where Rakshit worked on data transformation related to educational website vulnerabilities. Rakshit holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, completed in June 2023.
