Previously, Odic worked as a Technology Transfer Officer at the same institute from June 2013 to May 2016, focusing on patent assessments, drafting applications, and marketing technologies. Odic's research background includes positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Uppsala University and Linnaeus University, where studies involved viral culture preparation, purification, and structural analysis. Additionally, Odic has expertise from a Researcher role at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana, investigating bacterial contamination and biocide formulations. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Ljubljana and a BSc in Microbiology.
