Rodrigo Garcia

Rodrigo Garcia, PhD has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Website Designer at Florida International University. In 2008, they joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where they held various roles including Graduate Teaching Assistant, PHD Candidate, MIT Museum Workshop Instructor, and Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2018, they began working at Harvard University as a Teaching Fellow. Currently, they are the Director of Production in Biomedical Sciences at JoVE, where they have held multiple roles, including Associate Director of Production, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, and Science Writer.

Rodrigo Garcia, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology/Biological Sciences from Florida International University in the years 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued their higher education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from 2008 to 2016. In addition to their academic degrees, Rodrigo Garcia is certified by the MIT Teaching and Learning Laboratory as an MIT Teaching Lab Certified professional, although the specific dates of certification are not provided.
