John Malan has over 40 years of work experience in broadcasting and meteorology. John started their career in 1978 as a Weather Producer at WLS-TV in Chicago. In 1980, they became the Chief Meteorologist at WISN-TV in Milwaukee, and they held this role until 1994. From 1994 to 1995, they worked as the Chief Meteorologist at various stations within the Journal Broadcast Group, including WTMJ Television and Today's TMJ4. Finally, in 1995, they joined the Journal Broadcast Group as their Chief Meteorologist. The exact end dates for their roles at Journal Broadcast Group are not available.
John Malan completed their Bachelor's degree at Northeastern Illinois University from 1972 to 1973. John then pursued a Masters of Science Degree at Northern Illinois University from 1974 to 1975. The field of study for both degrees is unknown.
