John Sassman currently serves as Assistant Principal at Jordan School District since July 2023. Previous positions include Assistant Principal at North Pole High School from July 2021 to November 2022 and a teaching role at Weller Elementary School within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District from May 2019 to July 2021. Earlier teaching experience includes positions at Woodriver Elementary School and Pearl Creek Elementary School, where John focused on 4th grade education. Additional experience includes a student teaching role at Pearl Creek Elementary, community development work with the Peace Corps in Albania, and real estate sales with RE/MAX Country. John holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, along with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Johnson & Wales University.
