Rohan Rattan is an undergraduate student instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, College of Chemistry, currently involved in teaching roles for courses in Chemical Structure & Reactivity and Biochemistry. Rohan serves as a hospice volunteer at VITAS Healthcare and is also an undergraduate researcher at the Joint BioEnergy Institute, focusing on engineering cytokinin-insensitive response regulators and analyzing T-DNA dynamics. As a member of the UC Berkeley Bioengineering Honor Society, Rohan holds roles as the Breaking Down BioE DeCal instructor, secretary, and outreach committee chair, promoting bioengineering to high school students. Additionally, Rohan has experience as a tutor for undergraduate courses in physics, chemistry, and bioengineering and has been involved in various research projects, including developing self-clearing plasmids and bioacoustics analysis in bats. Rohan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology at UC Berkeley.
