Mr. Philip Beresford was elected as a Director of the John Paul College Board at the 2018 Annual General Meeting. His children Dylan, Natalie, and Liam have attended the College since 2017, and have embraced the College taking on leadership roles, achieving academic recognition, and partaking in many co-curricular activities including music, netball, swimming, and tennis. Philip has been very impressed with the way the school has welcomed the children and provided a great deal of support for them during the transition.
For the last 30 years, Philip has worked in Funds Management and Information Technology performing a variety of executive-level positions. He now runs an independent consulting firm advising superannuation firms and other investment companies on operational controls, risk management, and their use of technology.
Philip's career has given him a wonderful opportunity to live and work in many places in the world including Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, and major cities around Australia. This has broadened his horizons not just from a work point of view but also from a cultural perspective. This experience has to given him insight into the different educational institutions around the globe.
Philip is a strong believer in giving back to the community and is hoping to pass that same ethos to his children. Phillip is the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
