Barbara O'Brien Brown is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate sustainability and communications. Currently serving as a Board Member at Emerald Built Environments since August 2022, Barbara has also been a member of the Board of Trustees at John Carroll University since March 2012, contributing to several key committees including Executive, Marketing & Enrollment, Advancement, Mission & Diversity, and Nominating & Governance. Previously, Barbara held significant roles such as NA Corporate Sustainability Services Lead and Senior Partner at ERM from June 2019 to October 2020, and Senior Partner at BrownFlynn from March 2018 to March 2019. As a Co-Founder and Owner of BrownFlynn from 1996 to 2019, a firm specializing in corporate responsibility and sustainability consulting, Barbara established a strong foundation in the field. Barbara's career also includes serving as VP and Manager of Corporate Communications at National City from 1990 to 1995. Barbara holds a degree from John Carroll University, earned between 1978 and 1982.
