Maikki Miettinen currently serves as Project Manager for the Northern Lakeland project focused on tourism business growth and internationalization at the City of Joensuu, a position held since August 2024. Concurrently, Maikki operates as Entrepreneur and CEO of Miss Windy Shop Oy, a webshop inspired by pin-up and vintage aesthetics, since November 2022. Previous experience includes working as Entrepreneurship Coordinator at Pohjois-Karjalan TE-palvelut from January to August 2024 and as Business Agent for the City of Joensuu from September 2020 to January 2024. Earlier roles include Duty Manager and Restaurant Worker at Pohjois-Karjalan Osuuskauppa from February 2015 to September 2020. Maikki holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Karelia University of Applied Sciences, as well as a specialized vocational qualification in Product Development focused on service design and brand building from SASKY koulutuskuntayhtymä. Additionally, Maikki studied at Shanghai University in 2012.
