Mike McConnell has a diverse work experience. From 2020, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Joby Aviation. In 2011, they started working at Diver Dan's, Inc. where they held two different roles; firstly, as a Scuba Instructor from January 2011 to January 2022, and secondly, as an Assistant Manager from June 2011 to July 2017. From July 2017 to September 2020, they worked as a Prototype Machinist at Lockwood Engineering & Machine. Additionally, from January 2017 to January 2019, they worked as a Scuba Diving Instructor for Stanford University, teaching various scuba classes for the outdoor education program.

Mike McConnell attended Bellarmine College Preparatory from 2005 to 2009 but did not obtain a degree or pursue any specific field of study during this time. Mike then went on to study at Menlo College from 2012 to 2017, earning a BA degree in Marketing.
