Roland Perko is a Principal Scientist at JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH, where responsibilities include leading the Research Group for Remote Sensing and Geoinformation and serving as Project Manager and Key Researcher since October 2008. Additionally, Roland Perko has been a University Lecturer at Technische Universität Graz since October 2018, focusing on remote sensing and geometric computer vision at the Institute of Geodesy. Previous experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at JOANNEUM RESEARCH from July 1995 to August 2001. Roland Perko's educational background encompasses a Venia Docendi/Habilitation in Remote Sensing from Technische Universität Graz, a Master of Science in Computer Science obtained from the same institution in 2019, a Postdoctoral research in Cognitive Computer Vision at the University of Ljubljana, a PhD in a related field from Technische Universität Graz, and an MSc in Technical Mathematics.
