Janine Smith, Esq., CCEP, CCEP-I, CIMP, currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at The J.M. Smucker Co., a position held since September 2022. Prior to this role, Smith was the Vice President and Chief Compliance, Ethics & Privacy Officer at The Hershey Company from June 2015 to September 2022, overseeing various compliance and risk management areas. Smith's extensive experience includes roles such as Deputy General Counsel at The Hershey Company, Vice President of Global Government Relations at JonesSmith Consulting, and being a legislative consultant at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Smith has also held significant positions in education and public policy, notably as Associate Dean at Rutgers School of Law - Camden and Principal Legislative Counsel at the National League of Cities.
