Augustine Kimau has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Augustine most recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Jia since February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Boya |YC W22| from August 2022 to January 2023. Augustine also worked at Sendy as a Senior Backend Engineer from June 2022 to August 2022, and as a Consulting Software Engineer from September 2021 to May 2022.

Before Sendy, Augustine worked at Bluewave Insurance Agency, where they served as a Consulting Software Engineer from January 2017 to August 2021. In this role, they developed various applications and platforms for insurance policy management.

Augustine also worked as a Software Engineering Consultant at Sendy Ltd in July 2020 to September 2020, as well as at Law Society of Kenya Nairobi as a Software Engineering Consultant from June 2020 to July 2020. In 2020, they worked as a Consulting Software Engineer at easyanp, where they developed a property app.

Earlier in their career, Augustine served as a Software Engineering Consultant at Treasure Store Limited from January 2018 to April 2019. Augustine began their career at Leti Arts as a Full Stack Engineer from January 2012 to December 2018, where they developed mobile and desktop applications as well as games using various technologies. Augustine also worked briefly at Safaricom as a Mobile Application Developer in 2010.

Augustine Kimau has a diverse education history. In 2004, they attended Strathmore University and obtained a Certificate in Cisco CCNA I-IV. Augustine then pursued a Diploma in Business Information Technology at the same institution in 2004-2005. After completing their diploma, Augustine enrolled at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where they studied Mathematics & Computer Science from 2005 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Later, they joined Strathmore University again from 2010 to 2012, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Technology, Innovation & Development.

Additionally, Augustine Kimau has another certification to their credit. In July 2020, they completed the Serverless Framework Bootcamp: Node.js, AWS & Microservices course and received a Certificate of Completion from Udemy.
