Tess Orlev has a diverse work experience in marketing and content management. Tess is currently serving as the Director of Web & Social Marketing at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco. Prior to this, they worked as a Digital Marketing Manager at Franklin Energy, where they managed CRM, email marketing, and PPC campaigns. Tess also has experience as a Marketing Communications Manager at Build It Green and as a Content Marketing Manager at both Totango and Time To Know. In addition, Tess has worked as a Freelance Reporter at The Brentwood Press & Publishing Corporation, a Digital Content Manager at LookAt, and an Online Marketing Manager at The Music Link. Tess also founded and edited an online music magazine called Soundpick.net. Tess's early career includes roles as a Specialty Sales Manager at NewBay Media and as a Contributor for the same company.
Tess Orlev pursued a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from San Francisco State University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they attended Los Medanos College from 2004 to 2006. Alongside their formal education, Tess Orlev obtained certifications in Social Media Marketing and Content Marketing from HubSpot Academy in September 2023 and November 2022 respectively.
