Steven Florio is an accomplished aviation and maritime professional with extensive experience in both fields. Currently serving as Assistant Chief Pilot and A-320 First Officer at JetBlue since July 2018, Steven has also held significant roles in the U.S. Coast Guard as Engineering Department Head for Port Security Unit 301 and Intelligence Officer in the Reserve since November 2016. Previous experiences include serving as B-777 First Officer at Southern Air Inc. and EMB-145 First Officer at ExpressJet Airlines, along with a notable tenure as a Naval Aviator with various aircraft, including HU-25 and HC-144, within the U.S. Coast Guard from 2005 to 2016. Additional expertise includes marine engineering as a Rig Engineer at Transocean and a comprehensive educational background, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and further studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
