David Hempy is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend and frontend development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Jellyvision since November 2021, David focuses on developing backend APIs and frontend applications that enhance employee health and benefits selection. Prior to this role, David was a Senior Developer at Appriss Health, working on multiple cross-team projects involving Ruby on Rails, API development, and cloud processing on AWS. David also held a Senior Developer position at CirrusMio, Inc., where responsibilities included client interface and the implementation of IoT solutions. Earlier in David's career, leadership was demonstrated as the Director of Broadcast and Education Technology at Kentucky Educational Television, optimizing technology for educational purposes. David began in the tech field as an intern at The Weather Channel, where initial experience in web application development was gained. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.
