Carolyn Callahan serves as the Chief of Communications and Community Relations for Jefferson County Public Schools, leading the communications, marketing, and community relations team for the 30th largest school district in the United States since March 2022. Previously, Carolyn held roles at UofL Health, managing media relations and multimedia strategies for multiple hospitals and medical centers, where success was marked by achieving a market share of over 50%. Carolyn's extensive experience in broadcast journalism includes positions as an anchor, reporter, and managing editor at WLKY TV and other stations, where achievements included significant ratings increases and the development of strong community relationships. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
