Robert Stumpo has extensive work experience in information technology and cyber security. Robert is currently the Director of Information Security at J.D. Power. Prior to this, they served as the Global Head of Information Systems and Cyber Security at Cronos Group from 2018 to 2022. In this role, they led technology modernization initiatives and directed the adoption of innovative technology solutions.
From 2016 to 2018, Robert worked as the Director of Information Technology at ICES – Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences. Robert was responsible for managing IT projects, technology infrastructure, and cybersecurity. During their tenure, they implemented IT management systems and directed process improvements.
Before joining ICES, Robert was the Director of Security and Operations at LAWPRO (Lawyers' Professional Indemnity Company) from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they provided executive leadership for enterprise-wide business systems and cybersecurity initiatives.
From 2013 to 2014, Robert worked as the Director of Technology Services at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Robert managed a team and oversaw the development of applications, network, hardware, software, and cybersecurity.
Prior to these positions, they held various roles in information technology and operations at Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, Insurance Bureau of Canada, LoyaltyOne, Arthur Andersen & Co., and DeVry Institute of Technology.
Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated expertise in IT strategy, technology implementation, and cybersecurity. Robert has successfully led transformative technology initiatives and managed multifunctional teams.
Robert Stumpo has an extensive education history. From 1990 to 1993, they attended DeVry Institute of Technology where they obtained an Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. In 2008, they participated in the Executive Management Program at Queen's University, specializing in IT Management.
In 2010, Robert Stumpo obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². That same year, they completed the ITIL certification in IT Service Management at Loyalist College.
Continuing their education, Robert Stumpo enrolled at the Schulich School of Business - York University, where they received an Advanced Management Certificate in an unspecified field of study in 2015.
In 2017, they pursued Enterprise IT Risk Management & Cyber Security at the University of Toronto. Lastly, in 2013, Robert Stumpo attended the Niagara Institute, specializing in Change Leadership for Change Agents.
