Ran A. has a strong background in data science, with experience in both senior and regular positions. They began their career as a Design Engineer intern and a Production Supervisor in the pharmaceutical industry. Ran then transitioned into the field of data science, starting as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo. They gained experience in data cleansing, analysis, visualization, and machine learning algorithm improvement.

After their time at the university, Ran worked as a Data Scientist at JANA Corporation for almost two years. They then moved on to Hamilton Health Sciences, where they worked as a Data Scientist and then Senior Data Scientist. During their time there, Ran contributed to various projects and ensured data accuracy and quality.

Ran continued to excel in the field of data science and became a Mentor at SharpestMinds. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Data Scientist at J.D. Power, where they apply their expertise to drive insights and make data-driven decisions. In addition, Ran has also worked as an R&D Scientist and Consultant at Genemis Laboratories Inc, where they developed and improved water microbial detection products using machine learning and statistical algorithms.

Ran A. obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Pharmaceutical Engineering from Wuhan Institute of Technology, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Ran then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law from 2011 to 2013. Later, they earned an M.A.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, attending from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Ran A. has also obtained several certifications, including "Project Management Simplified" from the Project Management Institute in 2021, "Python" from HackerRank in 2020, and "BUKD-X590: Enterprise Data Management" from Indiana University EDX in 2019, among others.
