Juergen Schmidt has a extensive work experience in the logistics industry. Juergen worked at various companies, starting from their role as an ocean export agent at Roehlig & Co. in 1974. Juergen then moved on to work as a prokurist/export manager at Lassen GmbH from 1982 to 1988. After that, they worked at LEP International as a branch manager and regional manager for the USA Midwest. Juergen joined Circle International in 1992 as a director of ocean freight, a position they held until 2003 when they moved to JAS Forwarding. At JAS Forwarding, Schmidt held the roles of vice president for ocean freight in the EMEA region and director of ocean freight. Finally, they retired in 2016.

Juergen Schmidt has a degree in Verkehrsfachwirt from Deutsche Außenhandels-u. Verkehrsschule Bremen.
