Austin Noronha is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in technology and innovation management. As Managing Director of Sony Ventures since July 2016, Austin oversees the Sony Innovation Fund, focusing on investing in emerging technology companies to drive disruptive innovations and strategic business partnerships. Through a long tenure at Sony starting in 2002, Austin also leads the Growth Ventures & Innovation group, identifying growth opportunities and fostering collaborations that align with Sony's diverse business interests. In addition, Austin serves on various advisory councils for the Japan Society of Northern California and the University of California, and previously chaired the Innovation Board for the San Jose Earthquakes Soccer team. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
