Swati JM has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015 as a Research Associate at the Centre for Science and Environment in New Delhi. In 2018, they joined Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy as a Residency member for a brief period. Later in the same year, they became the Chief Learning Officer & Founder at Harit Griha. In 2019, they joined Jagriti Yatra as a Yatri, and in 2021, they became a Project Manager at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy. Swati has demonstrated expertise in research, learning, and project management throughout their career.

Swati JM completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Zoology from recruitment Arts & Science jobs in Bangalore from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Army Public School in Bangalore from 2009 to 2012. Most recently, they pursued a Development Leadership program at the Indian School of Development Management (ISDM) from 2017 to 2018.
