Arnout Mechelaere has extensive maritime engineering experience, particularly as a 2nd Engineer (unlimited) with Jan De Nul Group since October 2015, working on various vessels including Les Alizés, TSHD Charles Darwin, and TSHD Gerardus Mercator. Prior experience includes roles as an Apprentice Engineer on multiple dredging vessels and several stagestudent positions with Jan De Nul Group and DEME Group. Arnout's professional journey in the maritime industry began with education at Antwerp Maritime Academy from 2010 to 2013. Additional experience includes a role as a waiter at Mise en Place from January 2014 to June 2015.
