Caitlyn Read has extensive experience in government relations and communications, currently serving as Assistant Vice President of State Government Relations at James Madison University since June 2014. Prior roles within the same institution include Director of State Government Relations, Spokesperson & Director of Communications, Deputy Spokesperson & Associate Director of Communications, and Social Media Strategist. Previously, Caitlyn held the position of Marketing Communications Coordinator for VCUarts at Virginia Commonwealth University and served as Senior Account Executive for PR & Social Influence at Mullen Lowe U.S. Additionally, Caitlyn worked as a Public Relations Specialist at Bottomline Technologies. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, a Master of Business Administration, both from James Madison University, and an ongoing Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Virginia.
