Jane Mellors serves as a Senior Research Officer at James Cook University since September 2012. Prior to this role, Jane worked as a Senior Fisheries Officer at the Torres Strait Regional Authority from September 2014 to June 2016 and spent 28 years as a Senior Fisheries Biologist with the Queensland Government from March 1984 to September 2012. Jane's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in the Geochemical Status of Intertidal Seagrass Meadows from James Cook University, a Master’s Degree in Tropical Ecology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology and Marine Biology, all obtained from James Cook University, along with a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning from Charles Darwin University. Education at the Canadian Academy in Kobe, Japan, also contributes to Jane's diverse background.
