Andrew Freborg serves as the Metallurgy Director at Jade-Sterling Steel since March 2017, focusing on product metallurgy for steel long products, quality assurance in accordance with ISO 9001, and metallurgical forensics. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Metallurgical Engineer at DANTE Solutions Inc. from December 1995 to February 2017, specializing in ferrous metallurgy and heat processing. Andrew has also contributed to academia as a guest lecturer on casting and steel making at Cleveland State University in October 2014. Earlier career positions include Senior Process Metallurgist at Republic Steel and Process Metallurgist at LTV Steel. Educational credentials include a BS in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron, and ongoing doctoral studies in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution.
