Christopher Herring has work experience in various roles and companies. From March 2023, they were a Contract Administrator at Jacksonville Transportation Authority. Prior to that, they worked at FMNL, LLC as a Camera Operator, where they were responsible for camera equipment, filming and photography, and assisting with product styling and post-production. Christopher also worked as a Hazard Analyst at PNC from October 2017 to March 2023. Additionally, they worked briefly as a Glass Cutter/Forklift Driver at Eagle View Windows Inc. in 2016 and as a Presidential Fellow at Jacksonville University from May 2015 to March 2016. In 2013, they had a role in Enterprise & Risk Management at Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

Christopher Herring attended Jacksonville University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
