Joshy George is an experienced professional in computational sciences with a comprehensive background in bioinformatics and engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Computational Sciences at The Jackson Laboratory since October 2013, Joshy has progressed through various roles including Associate Director and Computational Scientist. Prior to this, Joshy worked as a Bioinformatician at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre from January 2007 to September 2013, and held the position of Senior Research Officer at the Genome Institute of Singapore from 2003 to 2006. Early in the career, Joshy gained valuable experience as a Senior R&D Engineer at STMicroelectronics and as a Senior Research Engineer at the Institute of Systems Science. The professional journey began as a Member of the Technical Staff at the Electronics Research and Development Centre from March 1992 to October 1996. Joshy holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Engineering in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, and a BTech in Electronics from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
