Carla E. Brodley

Vice Chair, Board Of Trustees at The Jackson Laboratory

Carla E. Brodley serves as the Vice Chair and a member of the Board of Trustees at The Jackson Laboratory since September 2020. In July 2021, Carla became the Dean of Inclusive Computing and the Founding Executive Director of the Center for Inclusive Computing at Northeastern University, where previously, from August 2014 to June 2021, Carla held the positions of Professor and Dean at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences. Carla's academic career includes serving as a Professor of Computer Science at Tufts University from August 2004 to July 2014, where Carla also chaired the Computer Science Department, and as an Associate and Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University from November 1994 to August 2004. Carla began an academic journey as a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts from 1988 to 1994. Academic qualifications include a PhD and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University.
