Jian Wang has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Jian started their career at Merck, where they worked as a Sr. Research Fellow for over a decade. Following that, they joined Mettler-Toledo International, Inc as a Sr. Technology & Application Consultant. After that, Jian worked as an Independent Consultant before becoming the VP of Crystallization R&D at Crystal Pharmatech Inc. Most recently, they held the role of SVP Center for Pharma Crystallization at J-STAR Research, Inc. Jian has extensive expertise in crystallization, polymorph discovery, and formulation evaluation, making him a valuable asset in the pharmaceutical industry.

Jian Wang obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 1982. Jian then pursued further education at the University of Pittsburgh, where they completed both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from 1988 to 1994.
