Steve's earlier experience includes working at International Paper from 2000 to 2007. Steve served as a Senior Staff Engineer and Project Manager, focusing on driving financial turnarounds and process improvements in manufacturing across multiple mills.
Prior to their tenure at International Paper, Steve worked at Domtar from 1988 to 2000. There, they held the position of Director of Engineering and Manufacturing Manager at a $100M specialty paper mill. Steve led an engineering organization and implemented improvements in various areas, such as product development, quality control, and cost structure.

Steve Bentley has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Wayne State University. In 2013, they pursued further education at the University of Michigan where they completed an Executive Education program in Organizational Leadership, earning a Distinguished Leader Certificate.
