Michael Holder is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of North Star Consulting and Legal Services since February 2022, Michael also instructs courses on Fintech and the Disruption of Banking at Ivey Business School and teaches Securities Law and Regulation at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Previous roles include General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Delphia, as well as positions at Autorité des marchés financiers, Wealthsimple, Scotiabank, and BMO Financial Group. Michael's expertise encompasses securities law, online investment advising, compliance with regulatory standards, and various facets of investment management. Michael holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Ivey Business School, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western University.
