Tommy Horton is an accomplished professional in the mining industry, currently serving as the Director of Investor Relations & Corporate Development at Ivanhoe Mines since June 2022, where the focus includes advancing significant projects in Southern Africa. Additionally, Tommy holds the position of Co-Chairman at the London Mining Club, a networking forum for UK mining professionals, since 2017. Previous roles include Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Adriatic Metals Plc, Vice President of Business Development at Giyani Metals Corp, and Vice President of Corporate Development at Pembridge Resources Plc. Tommy’s early career involved positions in project engineering at Fluor Corporation and AMEC, as well as corporate broking at RFC Ambrian Limited. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Strategy and Finance from London Business School and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester.
