Ephrem Imanirareba is a seasoned professional in environmental economics and forest management with extensive experience in program development and stakeholder engagement across East Africa. Currently serving as a Senior Programme Officer at IUCN since July 2018, Ephrem focuses on building relationships with stakeholders in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Madagascar, and Ethiopia to promote Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) and value chain analysis. Previous roles include positions at the University of Rwanda as a Visiting Assistant Lecturer, a Forest Specialist at the Rwanda Water and Forestry Authority, and consultancy roles in environmental research and project management. With a strong academic background including a Master of Business Administration in Project Management and a Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Ephrem is dedicated to advancing sustainable forest practices and addressing environmental challenges.
