Mitsuru Claire Chino serves as Managing Executive Officer and Audit & Supervisory Board Member at ITOCHU Corporation since June 2022, bringing extensive experience from previously holding the positions of President and CEO, as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at ITOCHU International Inc. from April 2017 to June 2022. With a legal background as Executive Officer and General Counsel at ITOCHU Corporation from 2000 to 2017, Mitsuru Chino has also contributed to academia as a lecturer in US business law and corporate governance at prestigious institutions, including Hitotsubashi University and Keio Law School. Earlier, Mitsuru Chino was a partner at Graham & James, specializing in legal advice for financial institutions. Academic credentials include a JD from Cornell Law School, as well as programs at Harvard Kennedy School and Yale University, along with a BA in Government from Smith College. Additionally, Mitsuru Chino pursued studies at The Juilliard School’s Evening Division from 2018 to 2022.
