Rhonda Vanover is an Associate Professor at Ithaca College since August 2015, where instruction encompasses History of Photography, Intermediate Photography, Introduction to Photography, The Photograph in Exhibition, and Photojournalism. Previous roles include Public Information Officer at Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation from November 2009 to June 2012 and Freelance Photographer for Rhonda Vanover Photography, specializing in weddings, special events, and headshots from July 2008 to September 2009. Notable experience as a Contract Photographer for the South Florida Sun Sentinel from August 2005 to July 2008 includes accolades such as the Society for News Design Annual Creative Competition’s Award of Excellence. Additional experience encompasses a Staff Photographer role at The Free Lance-Star from July 2001 to August 2005, earning multiple awards, as well as various positions in freelance photography and creative graphics consulting. Rhonda Vanover holds an MFA in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and a BFA in Photography/Media Arts from Pratt Institute.
