Jean-Pierre Schott

SVP, Engineering at Iterative Scopes

Jean-Pierre Schott is currently the SVP of engineering at Iterative Scopes. Prior to this, they were the Chief Informatics Officer at Q-State Biosciences and the VP of Imaging/Interim VP of Engineering at Thrive Bioscience, Inc.

At Q-State Biosciences, Jean-Pierre managed the Informatics department - Data Science, Software, DB, Bioinformatics and IT involved in 14 key cross-department projects. Jean-Pierre also championed the improvement of machine learning pipeline for advanced analysis of neuronal output in the worldā€™s highest-throughput neuronal measurement system. In addition, they led the launch of QnaDx, a CLIA diagnostic laboratory purchased by Q-State, and was a key member of the due diligence team. Lastly, they sourced and managed key partnerships with external sequencing and transcriptomics companies.

At Thrive Bioscience, Inc., Jean-Pierre managed the engineering and cell biology department. Jean-Pierre was a hands-on leader in developing automatic ML algorithms to analyze cell colonies, automatically passage cells, segment and grade stem colonies. Jean-Pierre also program managed a partnership with a contract manufacturing design firm to build the system and was active in patent creation and assessment of IP licensing opportunities.

Jean-Pierre Schott received their PhD in Computer Vision from the AI Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jean-Pierre also has a MS in EE from the DSPG Lab at MIT, and an Ingenieur Diplome from the Ecole Superieure D'Electricite.
