Rhys Savage

Carbon Removal Scientist at Isometric

Rhys Savage is a Carbon Removal Scientist at Isometric, focusing on the development and assessment of enhanced weathering protocols within the carbon dioxide removal community since July 2023. Previously, Rhys served as a PhD Student at Cardiff University School of Engineering, where research on mine drainage geochemistry was conducted in partnership with Geochemic Ltd from October 2018 to April 2024. Prior to this, Rhys worked as a Geoscientist at Mine Environment Management Ltd from April 2022 to June 2023 and gained experience as a Graduate Environmental Geoscientist at Geochemic Ltd from May 2018 to April 2022, where research on CO2 sequestration potential of mine wastes was undertaken during an industrial placement associated with the MSc Applied Environmental Geology program at Cardiff University. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering and a Master of Science in Applied Environmental Geology from Cardiff University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Swansea University.
