Christopher McGowan is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Information Security Professional Practices Lead at ISACA since September 2022, focusing on professional education and career development in the field. Previously, Christopher held the position of Technology Technician at Armstrong School District from October 2019 to September 2022, where multiple IT projects were spearheaded and technical support was provided to end users. Christopher's extensive background in the US Navy spanned from October 1995 to April 2018, including roles as Security Operations Center Team Lead, Defensive Cyber Operations Manager, and Penetration Testing Lead, where leadership was exercised over personnel and efforts to secure network communications against cyber threats were implemented. Additionally, Christopher served as a Cryptologic Technician (Networks), Blue Team Operations Lead, Forensic Media Exploitation Analyst, and Information System Security Officer, contributing to various aspects of network defense, cyber event analysis, and information assurance.
