Murph Murphy has been working in the tech industry since 2007. In 2007, Murph worked as an IT for ICGM LLC, performing remote system service, entering data for in-development software system, and assisting with general technical maintenance and support. In 2008, Murph worked as a dishwasher then cook at Uncle Joe's Pizzeria, ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen and food safety, as well as taking customers phone orders and dealing with customer service issues. In 2009, Murph worked as Britestack for Icicle Seafoods and was a Computer Science student at Montana State University, taking classes such as technical writing, pattern recognition, computational biology, web design, compilers, databases, multidisciplinary engineering, and Japanese. In 2011, Murph was a Mobile Software Development Intern at Maraxis bv, working on UI design and implementation for a mobile hands free application. In 2012, Murph worked as a Web Application Developer for Salient Technologies, Inc. In 2014, Murph was an Application Engineer for Oracle, working on the Search and Machine Learning team. Finally, in 2019, Murph has been a Senior Software Engineer for IronCore Labs, working on Typescript/React UIs/tools/libraries, Rust webservices/libraries, Java libraries, Scala webservices, Haskell tools, services that interact with many cloud providers, and more.

Murph Murphy attended South Anchorage High School from 2005 to 2009, where they received their High School Diploma. Murph then attended Montana State University from 2009 to 2014, where they received their B.S. in Computer Science.
