Maria Vazquez de Vasquez, PhD has worked in various roles since 2006. Maria began as a Supplemental Instructor Coach and Student Tutor at East Los Angeles College in 2006. In 2009, they were an Undergraduate Summer Research Assistant at California State University, Los Angeles. Maria then worked as a Summer Undergraduate Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis in 2014. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at California State University, Los Angeles. During this time, they also held roles as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, Head Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Currently, they are a Research and Development Scientist at IR Medtek since 2022.

Maria Vazquez de Vasquez, PhD has an extensive education history. Maria obtained an Associate of Arts - AA in Natural Sciences: Chemistry from East Los Angeles College in 2012. Maria then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science - BS in Chemistry from California State University, Los Angeles in 2015. Following this, they earned a Master of Science - MS in Chemistry from California State University, Los Angeles in 2017. Most recently, they received a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Analytical Chemistry from The Ohio State University in 2022. In addition to their academic achievements, Maria also holds certifications in CPR & AED from the American Red Cross (obtained in December 2019) and Understanding and Interrupting Implicit Bias FY21 from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (obtained in September 2020).
