Luis Torrijos Morán has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Luis started their career in 2014 as a Junior Researcher at Instituto de Física Corpuscular (IFIC). In 2016, they worked as an Electronics Engineer at UAV Works before joining Nanophotonics Technology Center as a Research Technician in the same year. Luis then became a Pre-doctoral Fellow at Nanophotonics Technology Center from 2017 to 2021. In 2020, they worked as a Research Scholar at Universiteit Gent for a brief period. From 2021 to 2023, Luis worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM). Currently, they hold the role of Photonics Research Engineer at iPronics Programmable Photonics.

Luis Torrijos Morán began their education in 2010 at the University of Valencia, where they pursued a degree in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones and completed it in 2015. Luis then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Ingeniería eléctrica y electrónica from 2015 to 2016.

In 2017, Luis Torrijos Morán achieved a C1 Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge Assessment English. In the same year, they enrolled in the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Telecommunications, Photonics. Luis completed their doctoral studies in 2021.

Additionally, in 2020, Luis Torrijos Morán gained further expertise in integrated photonics through a visiting predoctoral fellowship at Ghent University.
