Carmen Nguyen is an experienced professional in materials science and engineering, currently serving as an Applications Specialist at IPG Photonics since August 2022. Carmen co-founded heliOptics from March 2020 to August 2022 and held the role of VP - Strategy & Finance at Quantum Growth Advisors / TechTrack until July 2022. Previous experience includes a position as an Optoelectronics Researcher at the University of Toronto, where key contributions involved developing methods for analyzing energy transfer in OLEDs and working collaboratively on high-efficiency organic small molecules. Carmen's background also includes substantial co-op roles in engineering, product development, and technical writing, further supported by a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto and a BASc in Nanotechnology from the University of Waterloo.
