Jean Monson is a seasoned professional in project finance and ESG finance, currently serving as Director at MUFG since January 2019, where responsibilities include originating and executing power and infrastructure projects in the APAC region, alongside advising clients on ESG Finance transactions. As a member of the IPFA Asia Branch Council and a participant in the GFANZ Net-Zero Banking Alliance Working Group for Power, Oil and Gas under the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative, Monson actively contributes to global infrastructure and energy financing. Previous experience includes Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank, focusing on debt capital market products in Asia, and roles at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as an Associate and Trainee Solicitor. Monson holds advanced degrees in law from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, along with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Bristol.
