Dr. Sayed Rubayet, a medical doctor with extensive experience as a technical leader, researcher, and manager, leads Ipas’ work in Bangladesh. He joined Ipas after working for Save the Children International, Bangladesh, where he was director of the Saving Newborn Lives program for four years.
Over the past 20 years, Dr. Rubayet’s work has focused on primary health care, maternal and newborn health, immunization, and family planning programs. In various capacities with Save the Children and WHO Bangladesh, he has built and maintained strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders in Bangladesh, including United Nations agencies, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, national and international NGOs, and academicians. In addition to his training as a medical doctor, he holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health.
