Melissa McInerney is an experienced writer and social media engagement professional, with a career spanning multiple roles in various organizations. Since June 2006, Melissa has been self-employed as a writer, while also serving as a Social Media Engagement Coordinator for The Shenandoah Film Collaborative in 2022. Previously, Melissa held the position of Head Lifeguard for the City of Lakewood Colorado from 2013 to 2022, where responsibilities included educating patrons on pool rules and safety. Additional roles include Contract Article Updater/Editor at Study.com and Social Media Evaluator at Appen. Early in the career, Melissa worked at Paragon Sports in various capacities including Accounts Payable/Receivable and Sales from 2001 to 2009. Melissa holds a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from Bennington College and a BA in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin. Melissa is currently pursuing further education at the University of Vermont.
