Robert Horne FCCA, CTA has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and responsibilities. Robert started their career in 2007 as an Instructor at Dublin City University's Centre for Talented Youth. In 2009, they joined Engineers Ireland as a Finance Administrator, where they managed creditor ledgers, accounts payable, reconciliations, and various financial tasks.

From 2011 onwards, Robert worked at ION in several positions. Robert began as an Assistant Financial Controller and then progressed to become a Senior Financial Controller and Group Financial Controller. Robert also served as a Functional Lead for a Global ERP Implementation Project and played a key role in the NetSuite transformation as a NetSuite Transformation Lead. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Group Finance Applications.

Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated expertise in finance and accounting, proficiency in systems such as Sage, Oracle, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word, as well as project management.

Robert Horne FCCA, CTA has a diverse educational background. Robert obtained their BSc in Sports Management from University College Dublin in 2007. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Business Administration and Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and graduated in 2008. In 2010, they completed the ACCA Qualification from ACCA, specializing in Accountancy. Moreover, in 2009, they received a CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, focusing on Human Resource Management. Later, in 2014, they became a Chartered Tax Advisor after completing their degree in Taxation from the Irish Tax Institute. Finally, in 2017, they obtained a Certificate in Exercise & Health Fitness (CEHF) from the University of Limerick.
