Diana R. Fuentes currently serves as the Executive Director at Investigative Reporters and Editors since April 2021. Prior to this role, Diana held various editorial positions at the San Antonio Express-News from August 2013 to April 2021, including Deputy Metro Editor and Editor of Community Publications, where oversight included 11 weekly publications with a combined circulation of 250,000. Experience also includes serving as Editor and Publisher of the Del Rio News-Herald and Editor at the Laredo Morning Times. Earlier career stages featured positions such as Night Metro Editor at the San Antonio Express-News and Managing Editor at The Beaumont Enterprise. Diana's educational background includes a Bachelor of Journalism in broadcast from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Texas State University.
