Aya Sharkas is an experienced economic research and policy advocacy professional currently serving as a Senior Analyst in the Research and Policy Advocacy Department at Invest Qatar since July 2022. Previously, Aya held positions as a Senior Analyst in the Economic Research Department at Arab Bank and as an Economist with iMMAP, focusing on USAID initiatives. Aya's earlier roles include consulting for the Union for International Cancer Control under HRH Princess Dina Mired Al-Hussein, conducting quantitative research at Ipsos, and interning at the U.S. Department of State and Teneo Blue Rubicon. Aya has also contributed as a research assistant at Georgetown University, where Aya earned a B.S. in Foreign Service with a concentration in International Economics, building a strong foundation for a career dedicated to economic analysis and advocacy.
